Hi everyone!

So we’re back home again after some writing/composing time out west and some other traveling. We have a show in Montreal this weekend, at Casa del Popolo, where we will try out some of the new material that was written in the little cabin we spent two weeks in on Vancouver Island in January. There will be some guests of course! Besides our amazing Samuel Joly on drums we also have three marvelous guitar players joining us, Michael Feuerstack (The Luyas), Laurel Sprengelmyer (Little Scream) and Nic Basque (Plants and Animals). We really look forward to this!

Dancer Hanako Hoshimi-Cains will open the evening and it will be great! Read more about her in the facebook event HERE.

And get your tickets for the show HERE.

Hope to see you Saturday!

Some news, some shows

Posted by | Uncategorized | No Comments

Happy 2017 to everyone! Hope it will bring magnificent things to you all. We are starting the year off by jumping right into the composing of new material, sequestering ourselves for a few weeks in a cabin on beautiful Vancouver Island. While there, we will pop our heads out of hibernation for a couple of nights to play some shows in Vancouver. The first one being an improv night at the Gold Saucer Studio, collaborating with other musicians from Vancouver, and the second one being our first show with Thus Owls out in the Canadian west at The Wise Hall. This is something we have wanted to do for a really long time so we are especially looking forward to it. We also have a couple of shows booked in Montreal when we come back home where we will try out some of the new music. There will be more news later on about our plans for the rest of 2017 but this feels like a fun and creative start of the year. Hope to meet you there!

Ropes video out now!

Posted by | Uncategorized | No Comments

We are happy to release our latest music video from the album “Turning Rocks” today. The video for ‘Ropes’ is a furry, colorful and abstract love story. To find a breathing balance between two constantly changing individuals is a life long adventure and in this art piece Mylène Simard gives visual life to the song. With beautifully layered images, both peaceful and sometimes explosive, she creates a surreal and adventurous world that extends our imagination.

Here it is!

MERCI, MERCI, MERCI, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, TACK, TACK, TACK.

We finished off our Quebec and Ontario tour in Ottawa last night. I was beautiful and magical and so was Chicoutimi, Toronto, Montreal, Val-David, St-Hyacinthe before that.

We’ve devoted our lives to music, to spend hours and hours writing songs, behind instruments, rehearsing, carrying heavy gear in and out of buildings, driving vans across countries and to spend most of our awake time thinking about how to get better, how to write better and how to keep surprising ourselves and our listeners musically. We LOVE to do all these things and we will always keep on doing it. But it means the WORLD to us to share it with YOU. We couldn’t do it without you. We just want to say that we are forever grateful to every single one of you who comes to our shows with open ears and hearts to share magical musical moments together with us. WE LOVE YOU ALL VERY MUCH.
